Visa & Travel Facilitation
Bhutan requires more paperwork than most destinations. You will never feel it.
Entry into Bhutan involves a government visa, a Sustainable Development Fee, and a series of documentation requirements that can feel overwhelming for first-time visitors. Hidden Lotus manages the entire process end-to-end — from the moment you decide to travel, to the moment you step off the plane. By the time you arrive, everything is already in order. All you carry is your passport.

Everything We Take Off Your Plate
Bhutan's entry requirements are more layered than most destinations. We have managed this process for travellers from across Asia and beyond, every scenario, every edge case, handled before it becomes a concern for you.
What is Bhutan's Sustainable Development Fee?
In 2022, Bhutan replaced its previous minimum daily spend policy with a Sustainable Development Fee, a flat USD 100 per person, per night. This fee funds Bhutan's free education, healthcare, and environmental conservation programmes, and is part of what makes Bhutan one of the most consciously managed destinations in the world.
For Hidden Lotus guests, the SDF is collected and submitted by us as part of your booking process. It is factored clearly into your journey costing from the outset, no surprises on arrival, no additional steps for you to manage
"By the time our guests land in Paro, every stamp, every permit, every formality is already behind them. The journey starts the moment they arrive not the moment they clear immigration."
